Terminology

People with functioning ovaries who do not identify as women experience menopause if they do not take cross-gender hormones. For brevity, we use the terms ‘women’ and ‘women’s health’ to encompass all these individuals.

 

Organisations can be made up of employees and volunteers that work together. We use the terms ‘employees’ and ‘workers’ to encompass everyone in the organisation and use them interchangeably. We also use the terms ‘colleagues’ and ‘co-workers’ interchangeably to mean the people who work with each other within an organisation.
