Terms and Conditions of Use – MENO-kit Organisational Toolkit

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the MENO-kit Organisational Toolkit (the “Toolkit”), provided free of charge by Lancaster University (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using the Toolkit, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Toolkit.

1. Purpose of the Toolkit
The Toolkit is provided as a free educational and awareness-raising resource to support UK organisations in addressing menopause in the workplace. It is intended for informational and training purposes only and does not constitute, nor should it be relied upon as, professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Eligibility and Access

Each registered organisation will receive one account to access the Toolkit.

Login details must only be shared internally within the organisation.

The account holder (the person who set up the account) is responsible for ensuring that their organisation’s workforce accesses and uses the Toolkit in accordance with these Terms.
3. Permitted Use
Organisations are permitted to:

Access, view, and use the Toolkit content internally for educational and workplace purposes.

Download and circulate materials within the organisation, provided that copyright notices remain intact.

Adapt resources (e.g. action plans, posters) for internal use, provided that the adaptations remain consistent with the purpose of the Toolkit.
Organisations are not permitted to:

Copy, reproduce, or distribute Toolkit content externally without prior written consent.

Sell, licence, or otherwise commercially exploit the Toolkit.

Modify Toolkit content in a way that misrepresents or contradicts its intended purpose.
4. Intellectual Property
All content within the Toolkit, including training modules, videos, guides, logos, and downloadable resources, is owned by Lancaster University, unless otherwise stated. All rights are reserved.
5. Suspension or Withdrawal of Access
We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or withdraw access to the Toolkit at any time, for any reason, including (but not limited to) misuse of the Toolkit, breach of these Terms, or discontinuation of the Toolkit service. We shall not be liable to you or your organisation for any loss or damage arising from such suspension or withdrawal.
6. Disclaimers

The Toolkit is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee that use of the Toolkit will result in specific organisational outcomes.

The Toolkit is not a substitute for medical advice or treatment. Individuals experiencing menopausal symptoms should seek guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.
7. Data and Privacy

We may collect anonymised usage information (e.g. number of visits, downloads) to support evaluation and improvement of the Toolkit.

We will not collect or store personally identifiable information through Toolkit use, unless it is voluntarily provided (e.g. via direct email contact).

Any personal data provided will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Updates and Modifications
We may update or modify the Toolkit and these Terms at any time. Any material changes will be communicated on the Toolkit website. Continued use of the Toolkit after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or claims arising from or in connection with use of the Toolkit.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
The Toolkit has been developed primarily for use by organisations in the United Kingdom. If you access or use the Toolkit from outside the UK, you are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with any applicable local laws, and you do so at your own risk.
