Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

In some instances, the focus order is incorrect.

This does not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion:

Headings

HTML heading levels are not consistent throughout each page.

This does not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion:

Links

There may be links where the link purpose and destination may not always be clear from the text.

There may be multiple adjacent links to the same material (e.g., the icon and link text both act as a link to the same destination).

There may be some instances of links where there is no text content inside the link meaning that they cannot be selected by screen readers.

Some links may have Aria attributes that do not have accessible names.

Some links to videos may be nested inside other interactive controls meaning making them inaccessible via keyboard navigation.

This does not meet the following WCAG 2.2 success criterion:

  • 2.4.4 (A) Link Purpose (in Context)

  • 4.1.2 (A) Name, Role, Value.

  • 1.4.3 (AA) Text Contrast (Minimum).

PDFs and other documents

Some PDF documents do not have descriptive titles.

Some PDF documents do not specify the default language of the document.

Some PDF documents do not provide bookmarks within the document.

This does not meet WCAG 2.2 success criterion:

  • 2.4.2 (A) Page Titled.

  • 2.4.5 (AA) Multiple Ways.

  • 3.1.1 (A) Language of Page.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

PDFs and other documents

The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.

Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish will meet accessibility standards.
